Beachy Decor

If you follow us on Facebook (link!) then you've probably noticed the influx of beach/ocean inspiration images we've been posting a lot lately. As soon as the weather even begins to edge towards 20°C, we can't help but crave a beach holiday, particularly after this winter season (is it just us or has it seemed longer and colder than usual?!).
To keep our fantasies at bay, we've pulled together a beachy decor inspired post, filled with pretty beach photos for anyone else craving the sun and sand!

Ahh, I feel more relaxed already...

This first image is of a stunning beachy inspired bedroom. We love the introduction of different shades of blue (the cushions, ottoman, bedframe, mirror and bedside tables) and the different bedside tables gives a really relaxed vibe to the room.

Add a little bit of the sea to your room with our Linen Cushion Starfish (pictured below)!
Comes in a set of two and available in these different colour ranges:
White Linen / Teal Starfish
White Linen / Lime Starfish
Teal Linen / White Starfish

Give your dining room a beachy feel with a fresh and simple floral arrangement (hydrangeas above), cut sea grass, candles and a shell decoration. Alternatively, consider using pebble stones in off-white shades in your vase and adding your own collected shells to the vase and/or table.

To really achieve the beachy look, keep most of the walls and furniture white and add in pops of different shades of blue. Then, add a few floral arrangements or plants to bring life to the room. Candles will also help set a relaxing mood.

Alternatively, clashing bold colours and prints can add a real bohemian vibe to your space.

Our Bamboo Directors Chair is perfect for adding a bohemian vibe with the clashing coloured striped fabric.

Add a pop of colour to your outdoor area with outdoor furniture such as our orange Eco Friendly Wicker Chairs!

If you're interested in introducing blue into your house but don't like the idea of incorporating through furniture, try a blue patterned wallpaper. Use it as feature walls throughout the house to create a recurring theme or just one in your main room or bedroom.

Contrasting white with different shades of blue and green is one of the quickest ways to achieve the beachy look. Fresh floral arrangements or plants bring life to a room so consider introducing them in interesting ways such as on a dining table or mantel piece, or potted plants outside on a deck or balcony.
