Celebrity Decor Styling Tips #2

Continuing on from our last post, the above two images give a glimpse inside the lovely house of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. A mix between beach and country, their style is relaxed and inviting. The second images shows their dining room in which antique French cane chairs occupy a stunning 17th century farm table that is detailed with fresh floral arrangements and candlesticks. The artwork behind on the wall is by Andy Warhol.

Recreate their beach meets country vibe with an elegant wooden French inspired dining table such as our De Fleurs Dining Table! Beautifully crafted from salvaged Elm, our De Fleurs Dining Table also features a parquet top, rustic metal flower and linear inlay.

Decorate the table with a simple floral arrangement in a colour that will compliment the rest of your dining room paired with a colourful glass vase such as our Recycled Spanish Vase in Orange* (Pictured Below)

*also available in Fuschia, Set of 2.

Surround your table with classic vintage chairs such as our Vintage Dining Armchair (pictured below) made from FSC certified recycled teak and leather.

Whoopi Goldberg's bedroom pays tribute to her heritage and incorporates a gorgeous contrast of colour and shade.
To emulate her stylish and soulful room, try mixing different patterns, colours and textures until you find a mix that suits you and your personality.
Keep the bedlinen clean and one shade, in Whoopi's case she has chosen white, to tie in the different mixes of colours and patterns. Consider matching the bedlinen to the wall paint as Whoopi has done as it creates a higher contrast for the other colours in the room.
Instead of using a standout headboard try pairing different pieces of artwork (or one larger piece) on the wall behind your bed.

Our Tree of Life Reverse Carving (Black) is the perfect piece of artwork for above your bed as it separated into three panels and will centre the room and give it balance.

Tory Burch's lovely abode is bright and colourful with a strong introduction of gold. Gold tones creates warmth while silver tends to lean cooler. Consider what colours will compliment or contrast nicely with gold or silver, for example: warm pink or orange tones looks incredible with gold while turquoise and aqua shades look great with silver.
Compliment gold or silver tones with mirrored furniture, this will help give the illusion of more space in a room. Our Antique Mirror Ottoman would look incredible in any room when paired with strong gold or silver tones. The pewter lean of the edging allows for it to work well with either tone.
